Background

Karen Mulholland has extensive experience in helping companies exceed their customers' expectations and cut their support costs by providing product documentation that works.

She has worked for companies of over 50,000 people and fewer than 50 people, and understands the challenges that young organizations face. One of those challenges is laying the groundwork for growth while keeping costs under control.

Karen has set up technical publication departments in numerous companies, creating a proven set of tools and processes for delivering consistent, top-quality results. Those processes routinely result in award-winning product documentation.

Karen worked for several years as a computer technician, and has the background and training to understand highly technical products.

CERTIFICATION - On November 11, 2009, Karen earned the CompTIA Network+ information technology certification. 

CERTIFICATION - On November 4, 2009, Karen earned the CompTIA A+ information technology certification.

WRITING AWARD - On April 30, 2009, Karen was notified that her work has received an Award of Excellence at the international level from the Society for Technical Communication. This is Karen's second international award.

TECHNICAL ART AWARD - On February 20, 2009 Karen received her first award in the Technical Art category, from the Houston chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.

WRITING AWARD - On January 15, Karen received her tenth writing award from the Lone Star (Dallas-Fort Worth) chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.
